Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donnie Gabbana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Robinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gabbana comes to the cage accompanied by Sweep the Leg. Charles Robinson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robinson staying out of range there.

Gabbana changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Robinson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Robinson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Robinson gets back to full guard.
Robinson wants to sweep but no luck.
Gabbana stands up over Robinson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Gabbana chips away with some ground and pound.

Robinson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Robinson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Robinson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gabbana doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gabbana manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gabbana sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Robinson's guard.
Gabbana slips a nice elbow through Robinson's hands, connecting with Robinson's forehead.
Gabbana is nestled in close to Robinson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Gabbana wants to free his trapped foot but Robinson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Gabbana looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Robinson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Robinson has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Gabbana. Oh but Robinson has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Gabbana goes limp - he's gone! Robinson jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
