The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crunch! Nyrkki slams his shin into Jones's torso.
Nyrkki misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nyrkki throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jones sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nyrkki throws a left and a right that both miss
and Nyrkki takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nyrkki connects with a nice looking jab.
Jones steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Nyrkki.
That kick from Nyrkki tenderised Jones's leg. Jones is trying to keep his angry face on.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A looping hook to the body misses from Nyrkki. Jones does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nyrkki swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jones.

It looks like Mukassa Jones has been cut.
Nyrkki misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Nyrkki manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nyrkki throws a right hand that misses
and Jones counters with a straight right hand.
Jones connects with a crisp jab.
Jones wants to clinch up but Nyrkki keeps it at a distance.
Nyrkki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones.
Mauri Nyrkki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nyrkki throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Jones looks to throw the jab but Nyrkki is out of range.

Jones cracks Nyrkki with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Jones connects with a looping right hand.
