PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vince Borg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Davison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Borg's entrance music is Flying in a Blue Dream. A fine choice. Davison comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Indestructible kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vince Borg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Chris Davison!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borg throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Davison throws a push kick but Borg slaps the foot to one side.
Borg is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Davison.
Borg connects with a body shot.
Borg thows a body shot but no joy.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Davison connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Borg jabs at Davison's body.
Borg cracks Davison with an open hand slap.

It looks like Chris Davison has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Davison throws an off balance right hand
and Borg counters with a stiff right hand.
Borg connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Davison momentarily.
Davison avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nice shot by Borg.
A jab from Borg finds it's way through Davison's defenses.
Borg misses with a body shot.
Borg throws a series of punches but Davison avoids them all with ease.
Davison stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Borg.
Borg uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

That has opened up Chris Davison's cut even more.
Davison looks to land a body kick but Borg moved away.
Davison pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Borg keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Davison.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Borg stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Borg lands a nice shot that snaps Davison's head back.
Davison tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Borg circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Davison to the canvas! Davison doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Borg keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vince Borg!
