PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Chapman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotr Mitas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitas has chosen Motorhead - Iron Fist as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chapman fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mitas shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Mitas moves into the clinch.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Mitas.
Mitas misses with some punches.

Mitas has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Chapman is trying to keep an underhook but Mitas manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Well, if Mitas is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Mitas is looking to take a break and control but Chapman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Chapman is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mitas pulls his head out easily.
Mitas is trying to control the action in half guard but Chapman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mitas might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Chapman kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Piotr Mitas was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Mitas looks for a takedown but Chapman sprawls well.

Mitas looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jonny Chapman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Piotr Mitas.

and Mitas moves into the clinch.
Mitas drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Chapman gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Mitas is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Chapman is defending well for now.
Chapman is trying to push Mitas away but Mitas has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Chapman tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mitas smiles and moves away.
Chapman moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Piotr Mitas has been cut.
Mitas fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Chapman stuffs the takedown.

Mitas is rocked!
Chapman walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Mitas drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Chapman swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Mitas's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
