Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Trudeau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Griffin has chosen Mutiny as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jacques Trudeau has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Griffin throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Trudeau tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Griffin is in Trudeau's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Trudeau escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Griffin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Trudeau is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Trudeau utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Trudeau has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Griffin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Trudeau had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Griffin defends it easily.

Griffin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trudeau. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Griffin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Trudeau has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Griffin has managed to get both his arms back between Trudeau's legs - danger averted.
Griffin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Trudeau swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Griffin stands up over Trudeau, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Griffin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Oooooh!!! Griffin has knocked Trudeau down with a huge combo! Griffin steps away and waves a wobbly Trudeau back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Jacques Trudeau has been cut.

Griffin catches Trudeau with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and Trudeau forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
