Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Tunjic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glenn Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tunjic comes to the cage accompanied by More then a Feeling. Glenn Hughes is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Glenn Hughes!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tunjic feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hughess jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Tunjic counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tunjic.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Tunjic stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hughes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tunjic throws an elbow that misses. Hughes uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tunjic's guard. Nice move by Hughes!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tunjic cracks Hughes with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Tunjic is landing with some decent strikes but Hughes is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Hughes manages to regain half guard whilst avoiding the strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Tunjic sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Tunjic lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Tunjic looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hughes with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hughes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tunjic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tunjic seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hughes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
