The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Caraan sprawls well initially but Gracie persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Caraan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gracie pulls his head out easily.

Gracie looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Gracie looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Caraan is in trouble now - Gracie has advanced to mount!

Gracie throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Caraan has his hands clasped together but Gracie breaks the hold and Caraan is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Gracie!

In his post fight interview, Rafael Gracie started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
