PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Cave (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Trigg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cave might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to "Me And The Devil". Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nick Cave!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Bill Trigg!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, David Schapiro and Alyssa Summers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trigg shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cave defends it nicely.
Cave fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Trigg is out of range.
Trigg will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Cave lands a glancing blow to the side of Trigg's head.
Cave looks to land a combination. Trigg sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Bill Trigg has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cave slaps away a takedown attempt from Trigg, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Nick Cave has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bill Trigg.
Trigg tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Cave swivels and escapes.
Cave thumps Trigg with a low kick.
Trigg looks gassed!
Trigg shoots for a double leg takedown but Cave sprawls well. He's pushed Trigg's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Cave cracks Trigg with a good jab.
Trigg moves forwards but Cave connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Cave is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Trigg flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Trigg is out cold! Cave holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nick Cave!
