Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Casy Hopkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Chiappe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hopkins kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is bis das Blut gefriert. Hopkins has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopkins misses with a straight left.

Chiappe shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hopkins is trying to defend but Chiappe finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hopkins is breathing heavily.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Chiappe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hopkins with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Chiappe decides to stand up.
Chiappe dips to his left and cracks Hopkins with an uppercut!
