Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chapple shoots for a double leg takedown but Borgen sprawls well. He's pushed Chapple's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Borgen throws a series of punches but Chapple moves out of range.
A head kick misses from Borgen.
Borgen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Borgen gets tackled into the cage by Chapple. Chapple maintains the clinch.

Chapple has clasped his hands together around Borgen's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Chapple cracks Borgen with a big elbow.

Chapple decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Borgen connects with a leg kick. Chapple looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Chapple moves into the clinch successfully.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Chapple's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A head kick from Borgen lands but Chapple takes it in his stride.
Sloppy strikes from Borgen. Those never looked like landing.

Chapple clinches up with Borgen and pushes him back against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Borgen wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Chapple keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Borgen's efforts to push away.

Chapple escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Chapple shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Borgen pinned against the cage. Borgen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Borgen lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Borgen scores with a one two! Chapple had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Chapple misses with a double jab.
Borgen scores with a head kick. Chapple tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Borgen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Thomas Borgen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chapple bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Chapple is trying to get an arm triangle but Borgen is defending well.
Chapple throwing shots but missing, from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chapple is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Borgen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Chapple decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Borgen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Borgen throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Chapple.
Borgen lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Chapple is rocked!
Borgen closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Chapple! Borgen dives in looking to finish! Chapple is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
