Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ray Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Skywalker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I shot the Sheriff. Luke Skywalker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Skywalker as he avoids it easily.

Skywalker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hardy to the mat! Hardy manages to get full guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Hardy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Skywalker gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hardy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Skywalker shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hardy eats them both and turns towards Skywalker to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Hardy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Skywalker sprawls well. Skywalker wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hardy gets slowly back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Skywalker dips a shoulder and cracks Hardy with a mighty uppercut! Hardy falls back against the cage and Skywalker unloads with a barrage of strikes! Hardy is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Skywalker screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
