The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tide throws a series of punches but Akhtar moves out of range.
Tide looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Akhtar fails to land with a series of punches.
Tide shoots in but no luck this time.
Akhtar misses with a double jab.
Akhtar shoots in for a takedown but Tide shows good takedown defense.

Akhtar gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Tide wants to take the fight to the mat but Akhtar manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Tide is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Akhtar is defending well.

Tide misses with a takedown attempt - Akhtar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Akhtar shoots for a double leg takedown but Tide sprawls well. He's pushed Akhtar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Tide changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Akhtar looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Well Akhtar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
