Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thierry Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason MacQuire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Thierry Henry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mason MacQuire!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacQuire has his takedown stuffed
and Henry counters with a two punch combo.
MacQuire fails with the takedown
and Henry counters with a left and a right that stings MacQuire.
MacQuire shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Henry counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in MacQuire's guard now.
Thierry Henry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mason MacQuire.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Henry is working MacQuire over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Henry postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

MacQuire has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Henry can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

MacQuire preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
MacQuire striking off his back but it's not causing Henry any problems.

Henry makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Henry is in close to MacQuire's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Henry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Henry slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

MacQuire is rocked!
Henry lands a strong strike to the head of MacQuire. That's dazed him! Henry looking to finish here. MacQuire is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Henry lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thierry Henry!
A determined Thierry Henry didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
