Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vik Kiv (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Parkachev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vik Kiv!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Parkachev!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiv moves in looking to clinch but Parkachev pushes him off.
Parkachev swinging wildly here.
Kiv throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Kiv throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Parkachev was covering up waiting for the punch and Kiv finishes the takedown easily into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Kiv wants to control from the top but Parkachev keeps moving.

Kiv stands up from Parkachev's guard - Kiv perhaps looking for a knockout.
Parkachev scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Parkachev lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Parkachev.

Kiv closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kiv seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Parkachev for as long as he can get away with.

We're going to have a standup here because Vik Kiv wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Parkachev scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Parkachev will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vik Kiv has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Parkachev sizes up Kiv with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Kiv takes a swing at Parkachev's ribcage but misses.

Kiv drives through and clinches with Parkachev against the cage.

Kiv escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kiv fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Parkachev takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Parkachev fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kiv looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kiv jabbing away but nothing is landing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Parkachev scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



A momentary lapse in concentration from Parkachev enables Kiv to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Parkachev manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Kiv wants to pass the guard but Parkachev is keeping the position.

Kiv stands and steps away. Parkachev gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Kiv shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Parkachev's guard.

Kiv's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Parkachev connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kiv scrambles back to his feet.

Kiv fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Parkachev manages to avoid it.
Parkachev swings for the body but Kiv moves out of range.

Kiv is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Parkachev.

Kiv is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Parkachev bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kiv's head.
Kiv looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kiv looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
