The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herbert misses with a few strikes there.
Burlington Spatchcock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spatchcock throws the kick towards the body but Herbert avoids it.
Spatchcock bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Spatchcock throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Herbert avoids the head kick by Spatchcock.
Herbert misses with a wild combination.
Herbert scores with a decent looking hook.

Herbert bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Spatchcock tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Check out the look on Herbert's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Spatchcock gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Herbert pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Spatchcock is rocked!
Herbert loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Spatchcock scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Herbert land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Herbert stands and salutes the crowd.
