The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power digs a good body shot into Gioane's ribs.
Gioane misses with a takedown attempt
and Power counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Power lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Power is looking to stand up but Gioane isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gioane postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Power is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gioane is controlling him.
Gioane stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Power swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Power jumps guard but Gioane stands there with Power around his waist. Power gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Gordon Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Power shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
