The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jones shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Franco looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Franco persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing.
Jones looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Franco blocks a low kick nicely.
Jones misses with a body kick.
Jones misses the shot to the body.
Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Franco.
Jones is looking to slow Franco down with leg kicks.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Franco.

Franco chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jones can pounce on him.

Jones's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jones lands a leg kick that knocks Franco off balance momentarily.
Good leg kick by Jones there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Franco. Franco gets slowly back to his feet.

Jones throws a hook but Franco avoids it easily.
Jones is looking to chop away at Franco's legs.
Luke Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That kick from Jones tenderised Franco's leg. Franco is trying to keep his angry face on.

Franco is trying desperately to land a takedown but Jones is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Franco.
Franco walks forward, straight into a front kick from Jones.

A solid leg kick lands there for Jones.

Jones closes the distance and pushes Franco back into the cage.
Jones connects with a nasty looking knee right to Franco's face.


That has opened up Bryan Franco's cut even more.
Jones landing knees to the body.
Jones lands a nice knee to the body.
Franco dodges an elbow strike from Jones.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Jones takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Jones has Franco pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Franco is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Jones - that's hurt Franco badly! Oh, another knee lands and Franco is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Franco doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 6:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Luke Jones!
