Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Flight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Purple Seventeen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Thomas Flight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Purple Seventeen!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seventeen with a lazy takedown attempt
and Flight counters with a nice low kick that buckles Seventeen's knee momentarily.
Flight throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Flight sizes up Seventeen with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Flight scoring well with a low kick there.
Seventeen wants to clinch but Flight slips to the side
and Flight counters with a body kick that stops Seventeen in his tracks momentarily.
Flight stuns Seventeen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Seventeen throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Flight cracks Seventeen with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Purple Seventeen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Flight pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Flight misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Seventeen is squirming around, avoiding Flight's attempts to control the action.
Flight lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Flight has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Seventeen's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Flight landing strikes from the mount and Seventeen is in trouble!

Flight has hold of Seventeen's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Seventeen manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Flight wants to control the pace but Seventeen is squirming around nicely.

Seventeen tries to lock up and control but Flight gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Flight lands with some strikes.
Flight prevents Seventeen from getting the reversal.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
BOOM! Flight connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Seventeen keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Flight postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Seventeen looks a forlorn figure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Flight throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Flight counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Seventeen!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Flight goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Seventeen is on top in guard.

Flight rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Seventeen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Seventeen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Flight defends it nicely.
