Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Ruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Satriani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ruiz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is jukebox hero. Satriani is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Live Free or Let Me Die. Joe Satriani is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Justin Ruiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Satriani!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Satriani tries to clinch up.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
What's Satriani going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

Satriani wants to control but Ruiz postures up.
Ruiz throwing strikes but Satriani manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

With the fighters up against the cage, Satriani throws an elbow but misses.

It looks like Justin Ruiz has been cut.
Satriani manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Satriani just misses with a elbow thrown towards Ruiz's brow.
