The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Urahara tries to close the distance and clinch up but Apae swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Apae misses with a straight left.
Kisuke Urahara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice inside leg kick there by Urahara. That's going to slow Apae down.
Urahara slips a straight right by Apae.
Apae fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Urahara lands with a slapping head kick.

It looks like Wilbur Apae has been cut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Apae swings for the body but Urahara moves out of range.

and Urahara counters with a head kick that drops Apae to the mat! Apae scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

That kick from Urahara tenderised Apae's leg. Apae is trying to keep his angry face on.

Urahara moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Apae seems to have recovered his senses.
Apae misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Urahara.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Urahara! Apae is out on his feet! Urahara rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Apae is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Apae is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
