Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robin Van Persie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Boss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boss misses with a head kick.
Van Persie looks to land a combination but Boss avoids it well.

and Boss counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boss gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Van Persie.
Van Persie feints a jab promting Boss to slip. Van Persie then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Boss slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Van Persie stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Van Persie wants it to stay on the feet.

Van Persie throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Boss gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Van Persie to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boss tries to land a leg kick but Van Persie saw it coming and moves away.
Boss shoots for a double leg takedown but Van Persie sprawls well. He's pushed Boss's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Van Persie tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boss paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Van Persie will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
