Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Battle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Rasputen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Battle comes to the cage accompanied by Break Stuff. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Battle tries for a takedown but Rasputen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rasputen misses with a series of wild punches.
Battle fails with the takedown.
Battle shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andre Battle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Battle will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Battle jumps guard but Rasputen stands there with Battle around his waist. Battle gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Battle drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rasputen pulls his leg out and moves away.
Battle shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rasputen but Rasputen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Rasputen lands a jab to the head.
Battle shoots in for a takedown but Rasputen shows good takedown defense.
Rasputen misses with a series of wild punches.

Battle changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rasputen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Rasputen is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Battle is controlling him well.

Battle has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Battle closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rasputen circles away.
Rasputen connects with a single shot there.
Rasputen lands with a shot to the body.
Rasputen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Battle is breathing heavily.
Some wild striking there from Rasputen.
Rasputen lands a nice looking body shot.

Battle goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Battle fails with the takedown.

Rasputen ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Rasputen stuns Battle with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

and Rasputen counters with a series of strikes. Battle will be more careful next time no doubt.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Rasputen lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Rasputen ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Battle misses with a takedown attempt - Rasputen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Rasputen lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Battle shoots in but no luck this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Rasputen counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Battle fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rasputen stuns Battle with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Rasputen is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Battle rather than just go for the knockout.
Rasputen cracks Battle with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Battle takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Battle takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Rasputen fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Battle on the side of the head.

A left and a right from Rasputen both land. Nice combination.
Battle takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Battle shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Battle was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Battle pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Rasputen is rocked!

It looks like Ivan Rasputen has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
