Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Duncan Pinderhughes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ted Baker!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baker shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pinderhughes as he jumps to the side.
Baker shoots in for a takedown but Pinderhughes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Baker fails with the takedown.
Duncan Pinderhughes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ted Baker.
Baker throws a right and a left that both miss.
Pinderhughes lands an overhand right.
Pinderhughes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Baker was well out of range. Poor timing from Pinderhughes.

Baker drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Pinderhughes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Baker won't allow Pinderhughes to sweep him here.
Baker postures up.
Baker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pinderhughes is keeping the position for now.
Pinderhughes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We're going to have a standup here because Duncan Pinderhughes wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Pinderhughes scores with a body shot.
Baker wants to clinch but Pinderhughes slips to the side
and Pinderhughes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Pinderhughes scores with a nice right hand.
Pinderhughes lands with a cross.
Baker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pinderhughes tries to avoid it but Baker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pinderhughes to the ground. Pinderhughes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pinderhughes stuffs the takedown attempt from Baker. Baker gets slowly back to his feet.
Pinderhughes missing with a left hand there. Baker was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Baker closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Baker.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pinderhughes stalks Baker and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Baker's face. Baker staggers backwards, shaken.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pinderhughes stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pinderhughes wants it to stay on the feet.
Pinderhughes scores with a nice strike.
Pinderhughes tests Baker's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Pinderhughes lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Baker fails to land the takedown.
Baker tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pinderhughes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Baker somewhat.

Baker shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Baker showed some decent athleticism there.
Pinderhughes is looking for a sweep. Baker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Baker throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Baker is pressing down on Pinderhughes's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pinderhughes is holding on for now.
Pinderhughes wants to control but Baker is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Pinderhughes wants to improve his position but Baker is controlling well.
Pinderhughes wants to get back to his feet.

Baker passes the guard and advances to mount!
Pinderhughes keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Baker looking to control and managing it successfully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pinderhughes is trying desperately to improve position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Pinderhughes clobbers Baker with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Nice sprawl there from Pinderhughes as Baker shoots in.
Pinderhughes moves into range and connects with a jab.
Baker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pinderhughes pinned against the cage. Pinderhughes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Pinderhughes connects with a single shot there.
Baker is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pinderhughes sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Duncan Pinderhughes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ted Baker.
Nice cross by Pinderhughes.
Baker tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pinderhughes swivels and escapes.
The crowd cheers as Pinderhughes lands an impressive looking overhand right. Baker doesn't seem phased though.
Baker on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.


Baker is rocked!
Pinderhughes is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Pinderhughes shuts the power down on Baker. Lights out, game over! Pinderhughes is your winner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Duncan Pinderhughes!
After winning the bout, Duncan Pinderhughes thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
