PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wulfgar The Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Kemp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mirko Kemp told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Wolf ducks under a wild hook from Kemp.
Kemp takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Kemp closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kemp prevents The Wolf from escaping the position.
The Wolf is not content to let Kemp control the position.

Kemp looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Kemp looks gassed!
Kemp controls the position from side control.

The Wolf wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The Wolf is looking to get back to his feet here but Kemp is keeping cool and he's managed to take The Wolf's back.

Kemp really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for The Wolf.

Kemp is riding his opponent, not letting The Wolf buck him off.
The Wolf knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kemp on the ground.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Mirko Kemp dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kemp has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kemp there as he acknowledges the shot.
Kemp tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kemp misses with a takedown attempt - The Wolf sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kemp fails with a takedown attempt.
A combination from Kemp does no damage.
The Wolf lands a nice looking body kick.
The Wolf lands a hook that stumbles Kemp back into the cage. The Wolf follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Kemp to the canvas! The Wolf pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Kemp has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
