Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Assis.
It looks like Said Jaffar has been cut.
Assis throws a sloppy head kick and Jaffar moves out of range easily.
Assis wants to clinch up but Jaffar keeps it at a distance.
Assis misses with a head kick.
Assis darts in trying to clinch
and Jaffar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Assis won't be happy with that.
Assis wants to get back to his feet but Jaffar drags him back down.
Jaffar is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Assis knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jaffar is trying to get an arm triangle but Assis is defending well.
Jaffar tries to move to mount but Assis blocks the move with his legs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jaffar is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Jaffar advances to full mount.
Jaffar working for a submission but Assis is keeping him at bay.
Jaffar goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Assis turns into him and now he's in Jaffar's guard.
Jaffar has a closed guard, preventing Assis from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jaffar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Assis is one step ahead there.
Jaffar pushes a forearm under Assis's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Assis is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
