Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cory Rice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Boxing Bjj!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rice misses with a two punch combination.
Rice swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bjj.


It looks like Boxing Bjj has been cut.
Bjj swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bjj throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bjj throws a right hand that Rice ducks under and follows up with a left that Rice also avoids with ease.
Bjj throws a series of punches but Rice avoids them all with ease.
Some wild striking there from Rice.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Rice throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bjj stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Rice tries to bum rush Bjj with a series of wild strikes but Bjj uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bjj throws a head kick that misses.
Rice shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bjj eats them both and turns towards Rice to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bjj throws a right hand that Rice ducks under and follows up with a left that Rice also avoids with ease.
Rice misses the shot to the body.
Rice moves away from the strike by Bjj.
Bjj keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rice just misses with a punch to the body.
Bjj throws a right and a left that both miss.
Rice lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bjj circles away quickly and effectively.
Bjj closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rice circles away.
Rice scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Rice feints a jab promting Bjj to slip. Rice then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Bjj slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Cory Rice is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rice blocks a head kick by Bjj.
Rice throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bjj misses with a two punch combination.

Bjj looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Rice!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rice reaches up and holds on to Bjj to control the position.
Bjj is looking to stand but Bjj has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Rice is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Bjj working for a submission but Rice is keeping him at bay.
Bjj looking to control but Rice is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bjj is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Rice has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bjj can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rice is looking to escape.

Bjj is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Rice is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Rice flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Bjj anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Rice and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Bjj slips an arm under Rice chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Bjj has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Bjj is squeezing on Rice like an anaconda would it's prey. Rice fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Boxing Bjj!
During a confident post fight interview, Boxing Bjj thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
