Sauders's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff. Ricky Edgar has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Joe Sauders's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edgar slips a straight right by Sauders.
Sauders throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sauders stuffs the takedown.
Sauders swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sauders scores with a jab to the jaw.
Sauders uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Edgar has time to react.
It looks like Ricky Edgar has been cut.
Sauders connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Donk. Sauders catches Edgar right on the button with a cross.

Sauders throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Sauders bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Edgar 's head.

Sauders cracks Edgar with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Edgar is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Edgar closes the distance and clinches up with Sauders, looking for a takedown. Edgar pushes Sauders against the cage but Sauders circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Sauders moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Edgar goes down! Can Sauders finish him!?

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Edgar seems to have recovered his senses.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Sauders throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Edgar sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Joe Sauders is winning the standup battle so far.
Edgar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sauders tries to avoid it but Edgar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sauders to the ground. Sauders escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ricky Edgar 's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
