Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marti Pico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenjiro Chiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marti Pico!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kenjiro Chiba!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chiba misses with a head kick.
Pico closes the distance and clinches up with Chiba, looking for a takedown. Pico pushes Chiba against the cage but Chiba circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Chiba throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Chiba turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Pico looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Pico is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Chiba defends it well.
Pico is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pico is pressing down on Chiba's thigh, looking to free his foot. Chiba is holding on for now.
Pico is working for a kimura but Chiba is defending it quite comfortably.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Pico in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Chiba tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Pico!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Marti Pico!
