Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Adam Hoppus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vajas Tomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoppus throws a lazy uppercut
and Tomas counters with an outside leg kick.
Hoppus fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Tomas as Hoppus shoots in.
Hoppus shoots in but Tomas avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adam Hoppus. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tomas lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Tomas stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tomas wants it to stay on the feet.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Hoppus. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Tomas slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Hoppus needs to keep his hands up - Tomas had a free shot at his head there.
Tomas ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Tomas uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hoppus has time to react.

Adam Hoppus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hoppus fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tomas avoids it really well and circles away.

Tomas paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Tomas lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Hoppus closes the distance and clinches up with Tomas, looking for a takedown. Hoppus pushes Tomas against the cage but Tomas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Adam Hoppus is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Tomas scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Vajas Tomas seems to be getting the better of the standup.

That kick from Tomas tenderised Hoppus's leg. Hoppus is trying to keep his angry face on.

Tomas has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Tomas lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Oh Hoppus is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Good leg kick by Tomas there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Tomas lets loose with a powerful body kick. Hoppus will feel that in the morning.
Hoppus seems to have got his legs back now.
Tomas thows a body kick. Hoppus tries to catch it but that hurt him.
A punch lands to the side of Hoppus 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Tomas lands a big right hand that sends Hoppus crashing to the mat! Tomas stays standing though and waves Hoppus back to his feet!

Hoppus stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Tomas.
Tomas jabs Hoppus to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Tomas jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Tomas bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hoppus's head backwards.
Tomas scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hoppus doesn't seem bothered though.

Tomas sends Hoppus crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Tomas is motioning to the referee to let Hoppus up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Hoppus might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.

Hoppus takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Hoppus gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Tomas gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Hoppus is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
