Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Travon Clayton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Travon Clayton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Alexandre Firmino and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Clayton.
Clayton stuffs the takedown.

Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Clayton is looking to regain half guard here but Jones keeps moving and retains side control.

Jones is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Clayton is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Clayton is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold.

Clayton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jones defends well.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Clayton is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jones is aware though and is defending well.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That was a close round but I would say that Travon Clayton will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Clayton avoids it really well and circles away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Clayton.
Clayton wants to clinch.
Clayton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Clayton pushes a forearm under Jones's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Jones is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Our winner, Travon Clayton, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
