Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Venable (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirk Hearon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Venable fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Venable misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hearon fails to land the takedown.
Hearon throws a series of punches but Venable moves out of range.
Venable throws a nice outside leg kick.

Hearon rushes Venable and presses him up against the cage.
Hearon tries to score a body lock takedown but Venable shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Venable unloads a knee to the mid-section. Hearon lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Hearon tries for a takedown but Venable manages to get underhooks.
Anthony Venable has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kirk Hearon.

Venable breaks the clinch.
Hearon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Venable as he avoids it easily.
Hearon tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Venable swivels and escapes.

Venable pushes Hearon up against the cage in a clinch.
Hearon can't break the clinch.
Hearon wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Venable has him pressed against the cage.
Venable lands a shoulder strike.
Hearon tries to score a body lock takedown but Venable shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Venable just leaning against Hearon, taking a breather.

Venable breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Venable fails in his attempt to clinch.
A nice leg kick lands there from Venable.
Hearon looks gassed!
Venable tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Venable could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hearon has his takedown stuffed

and Venable counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hearon won't be happy with that.
Hearon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Venable wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Venable decides to stand back up.
Venable tries to clinch but Hearon is having none of it.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Venable, right into the meat.
Hearon shoots in but Venable avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Venable tries to clinch but Hearon is having none of it.

Hearon closes the distance but Venable moves to the side
and Venable counters with a leg kick.
Hearon wants to clinch but Venable slips to the side
and Venable counters with a low kick, right behind Hearon 's knee.

and Venable counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Hearon cracks Venable with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Hearon has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Venable to stand back up!

Venable is rocked!

It looks like Anthony Venable has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Hearon counters with a HUGE slam that knocks Venable out cold!!! When he eventually wakes up, that one's gunna hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Kirk Hearon!
