The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Menochi gets tackled into the cage by Ventura. Ventura maintains the clinch.
Ventura trying to stall but Menochi improves his position.
Menochi has Ventura pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ventura manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Ventura gets underhooks to prevent Menochi's takedown attempt.

Ventura manages to break the clinch.
Menochi dives in and grabs Ventura's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ventura pushes down on Menochi's head and hops out.
Menochi throws a chopping leg kick but Ventura manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Menochi wants to clinch up but Ventura keeps it at a distance.

Menochi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ventura paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Menochi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ventura sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Ventura fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Menochi.
Ventura pushes Menochi away with a front kick.

Ventura connects with a body shot that sends Menochi's belly button to the back.
Menochi tries to close the distance and clinch but Ventura swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ventura connects with a jab.
Ventura tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Menochi is able to avoid easily.
Anthony Ventura is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Menochi. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
