Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Julio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronald Belford Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Silva might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Kanye West - Amazing. Scott has chosen Big Balls by AC/DC as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Scott looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.
Scott ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.

Silva dives in and scores a takedown into Scott's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Silva sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Scott's guard.
Silva tries to pass to full mount but Scott defends it.
Scott trying to hold on to Silva's head to control him but Silva postures up.
Scott is not content to let Silva control the position.
Scott manages to get to full guard.
Scott is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Scott is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Scott is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
