Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Dirtnock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buck Ewing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ewing scores with a jab to the jaw.
Ewing fails with a takedown attempt.
Dirtnock fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ewing has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Dirtnock is looking to land body kicks.

Dirtnock clinches.

Dirtnock breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ewing misses with a jab to the body

and Dirtnock counters by moving into the clinch.
Ewing is trying to pull guard but Dirtnock turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Ewing wants to control from the top but Dirtnock keeps moving.

Ewing might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dirtnock kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Ewing tries to free his leg and advance position but Dirtnock is retaining full guard.

Ewing is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ewing fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Ewing shoots for a double leg takedown but Dirtnock sprawls well. He's pushed Ewing's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
