Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Randy Best (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edmundo Edilhson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Best comes to the cage accompanied by Party Rock Anthem. The key to victory for Randy Best has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Randy Best!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edmundo Edilhson!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edilhson lands a really nice looking cross but Best seems unphased.
Best lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Edilhson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Best.

Edilhson rushes Best and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Best gets a trip takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Best thows a huge punch but Edilhson dodges it nicely.
Edilhson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Edilhson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Best is fighting to break Edilhson's control of his arms but Edilhson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Best will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Edilhson wants to sweep here but Best controlling him for the moment.
Best in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Edmundo Edilhson was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Edilhson doesn't manage to clinch there - Best circles away.

Best is working for a kimura but Edilhson is defending it quite comfortably.
Best lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Edilhson is on top in guard.

Best wants to control but Edilhson is having none of it.

Best is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Edilhson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Best manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Edilhson works to advance to full mount. Best defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Edilhson fails to advance to Best's back.
Best wants to try and get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Edilhson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Best can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Edilhson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Best is looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Edmundo Edilhson dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Best throws a combination. Edilhson tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

A nice inside leg kick there by Edilhson. That's going to slow Best down.
Edilhson throws a sloppy head kick and Best moves out of range easily.

Best shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Edilhson is trying to defend but Best finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Edilhson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Best is one step ahead there.
Best postures up in Edilhson's guard and throws a big left but Edilhson blocks it.

Edilhson has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Best should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Edilhson has tightened it up now! Best should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
