Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Clay Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gab Contreras (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis comes into the arena with Clay Davis -- Sheeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttttt blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis slips a jab from Contreras.
Contreras throws a predictable looking body shot
and Contreras takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Davis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Contreras looks to land a combination but Davis avoids it well.
Davis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Contreras takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Davis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Contreras was well out of range. Poor timing from Davis.
Davis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Contreras manages to avoid it.
Contreras looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Contreras looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Davis is fending him off so far but Contreras persists. Nope, Davis circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice uppercut lands for Davis. That snapped Contreras's head back.
Contreras misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Davis makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Davis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Contreras as he jumps to the side.
Contreras looks to land a combination but Davis avoids it well.
Contreras throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A telegraphed right hand from Contreras misses the target.
Contreras tries to bum rush Davis with a series of wild strikes but Davis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Davis is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Contreras's half guard.

Contreras is looking to control Davis's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Contreras avoid being mounted?
Davis thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Contreras is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Davis is just riding it out for now. Contreras eventually gives up the hold.

Davis has his foot on Contreras's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Contreras works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close second round but I would say that Clay Davis will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Contreras moves forwards but Davis connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Davis tries to clinch there but Contreras circles away.

Clay Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Davis connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Contreras has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Contreras there as he acknowledges the shot.

Contreras stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Contreras wants it to stay on the feet.
