Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gregory O Malley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laxa Tiv (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Malley comes to the cage accompanied by Dropkick Murphy's = I'm Shipping Up To Boston. The crowd seem to be enjoying Tiv's choice of entrance music: Animal I have become - Three Days Grace. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tiv wants to slow O Malley down by chopping away at his legs.
Tiv misses with a few strikes there.

so O Malley counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
O Malley trying to control the position from guard on top but Tiv is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

O Malley controls the position from side control.
Tiv is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
O Malley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Tiv pushes O Malley away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, O Malley gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

O Malley is looking to take a break and control but Tiv is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

O Malley stands up and we're back to a striking position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Tiv, right into the meat.
O Malley closes the distance and clinches up with Tiv, looking for a takedown. O Malley pushes Tiv against the cage but Tiv circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

O Malley tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no O Malley has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That was a close second round but I would say that Gregory O Malley will probably get the nod.
