Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gerard Loyack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjy Bronk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Bronk's choice of entrance music: 10 Years - Shoot it out. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bronk tries to clinch there but Loyack circles away.
Loyack lands a head shot.
Bronk tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Loyack paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Loyack avoids the head kick by Bronk.
Loyack lands with an uppercut that bounces Bronk off the cage and back into range.
Bronk throws a right hand that Loyack ducks under and follows up with a left that Loyack also avoids with ease.

and Loyack counters with a low kick, right behind Bronk 's knee.
Bronk takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Bronk pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Loyack gets control of Bronk's arms and successfully pulls guard. Loyack will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Bronk is looking to work some ground and pound but Loyack has wrist control.
Loyack is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Loyack is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bronk defends well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bronk with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Loyack tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bronk throws an elbow that misses. Loyack uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bronk's guard. Nice move by Loyack !

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Loyack counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Bronk tries to clinch there but Loyack circles away.
Loyack scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Bronk shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Loyack defends it nicely.
Bronk takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Bronk shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Loyack pinned against the cage. Loyack gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bronk closes the distance but Loyack moves to the side
and Loyack counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Loyack closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bronk's guard.
Loyack slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Loyack wanted to stand there but Bronk had control of the position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Loyack is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Bronk feints a jab promting Loyack to slip. Bronk then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Loyack slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Loyack closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bronk quickly recovers to half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Loyack counters with a good, hard body kick but Bronk shrugs it off.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bronk gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Loyack to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Loyack decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bronk, up you get!
