The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bayard tries to clinch there but Nelson circles away.
Bayard looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Nelson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Nelson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bayard. Bayard circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

No joy there for Nelson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bayard with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Nelson to score with a decent uppercut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bayard takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Nelson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tuffy Nelson dominated that round.
That's time! Bayard's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Nice uppercut lands for Nelson. That snapped Bayard's head back.
Christian Bayard is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bayard throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bayard throws a right and a left that Nelson avoids nicely.
Bayard moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Oh Bayard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bayard looks up at the clock. Bad move! Nelson lands a right hand from hell, dropping Bayard. Nelson pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
