The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Syrovatkin throws a hook to the side of Rollins's head but Rollins sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Syrovatkin takes a swing at Rollins's ribcage but misses.
Syrovatkin scores with a jab to the jaw.
Syrovatkin swings for the body but Rollins moves out of range.
Syrovatkin swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Rollins holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Rollins scores with a knee to the head.
Rollins lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Syrovatkin lands a shot to the body.
Syrovatkin swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Syrovatkin is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Syrovatkin can't get the takedown.
Rollins throws an elbow that misses.
Syrovatkin wants to break the clinch but can't.
Rollins misses with a knee to the head.
Rollins creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Syrovatkin's defenses.
Syrovatkin can't find room to land a body shot as Rollins controls the action.

Syrovatkin breaks from the clinch.
Rollins throws out a loose jab but Syrovatkin uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rollins throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Rollins lands a big head kick that sends Syrovatkin tumbling to the mat! Rollins takes a step backwards and waves Syrovatkin back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Syrovatkin chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Rollins can pounce on him.

Rollins throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Still in the clinch, Rollins scores with a nice short uppercut.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Rollins.
Oh Syrovatkin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
