Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Salvatore Assante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Murdock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Assante kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Lose Yourself. Matt Murdock has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murdock throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Murdock attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Assante checks a low kick from Murdock.
Murdock jabs Assante right on the nose. Assante blinks but takes it well.
Murdock cracks the inside of Assante's front leg.
Assante slips under a jab.
Assante closes the distance and clinches.
Murdock blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Assante has a couple of punches blocked by Murdock.
Murdock scores with a shot to the side of Assante's head.
Murdock works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Murdock lands a nice shot to the body.
Assante misses with a body punch.
Assante's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Assante misses with a punch on the inside.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Murdock lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Murdock blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Assante tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Murdock's elbow.
Murdock misses with a punch on the inside.
Assante lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Assante lands a shot to the body.
Murdock lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Murdock breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Assante takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Murdock rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Assante counters with a series of strikes. Murdock will be more careful next time no doubt.
Assante looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Murdock ducks right into an uppercut from Assante.
It looks like Matt Murdock has been cut.
Nice jab there from Assante.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Assante tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Murdock has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Murdock there as he acknowledges the shot.
Assante has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Murdock finds it's way round the side to connect with Assante's head.
Assante is rocked!
Assante closes the distance looking to clinch
and Murdock counters with a right hand from hell and Assante is out cold! A vicious knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Matt Murdock!
