The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mather tests Evans's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Mather scores with a jab to the body.
Evans takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mather fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Good shot there by Mather.
Nice uppercut lands for Mather. That snapped Evans's head back.
Evans is rocked!
Mather misses with a straight left.
Oh Evans is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mather throws a lazy right hand but Evans sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Evans keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mather.
Cotton Mather seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mather fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Evans looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Evans is breathing heavily.
Mather throws a shot from downtown. Evans moves away and avoids it.
Evans staying out of range there.
A slow jab from Mather misses its intended target.
Evans moves out of range of the strikes.
Mather throws out a loose jab but Evans uses good head movement to avoid it.
Mather connects with a stiff jab that staggers Evans - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
