Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Seigo Okazawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ee Honda!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Okazawa shoots in and bounces Honda off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Honda looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Okazawa sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Okazawa might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Okazawa pushes down on Honda's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Okazawa passes the guard and advances to mount!
Okazawa controlling the pace for now.

Okazawa stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Okazawa scores with a takedown into Honda's guard.
Okazawa controls from within his opponent's guard.
Okazawa passes into half guard.
Okazawa keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

We're going to have a standup here because Seigo Okazawa wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Honda looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Honda checks a low kick from Okazawa.
Okazawa lands with an uppercut that bounces Honda off the cage and back into range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Okazawa fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Honda to the ground. Okazawa is now in Honda's guard.
Okazawa looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Okazawa works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Okazawa slows the pace down in half guard.
Honda won't allow Okazawa to pass to mount.

Okazawa is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Okazawa works his foot free and advances to mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Okazawa controlling his opponent.
Okazawa has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Okazawa is working for a guillotine from mount but Honda frees his head quite easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Seigo Okazawa dominated that round.
That's time! Okazawa's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Honda tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Okazawa swivels and escapes.

Okazawa clinches up with Honda and pushes him back against the cage.
Honda wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Okazawa pulls guard effortlessly.

Honda is posturing up here but Okazawa has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Honda tries to roll out but it's too tight and Honda has to tap! Slick submission there by Okazawa!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Seigo Okazawa!
A relieved looking Seigo Okazawa thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
