Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rex Garris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Jakson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garris's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Blowin Money Fast by: Rick Ross. Jakson has chosen Thriller as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garris misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Jakson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jakson wants to get up but he can't break Garris's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Garris has his foot on Jakson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jakson works his way back into a safe position though.

Garris is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jakson defends well.

Jakson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Garris has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jakson has managed to get both his arms back between Garris's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that Rex Garris will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Garris is nestled in close to Jakson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Garris cracks Jakson with a big right hand but Jakson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Rex Garris has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Jakson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Garris eats them both and turns towards Jakson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rex Garris.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Garris, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
