Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ric Flair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Pendragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Pendragon!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pendragon on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Pendragon swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Flair counters with a nice leg kick.
A punch combination from Pendragon misses.

Pendragon drops Flair with a beautiful combination! Flair stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Pendragon is looking for the KO!

Mike Pendragon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Flair is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pendragon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pendragon's back!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ric Flair.

Pendragon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Flair manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Flair fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pendragon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Pendragon dives in and grabs Flair's left leg, looking for a takedown. Flair pushes down on Pendragon's head and hops out.
Pendragon sizes up Flair with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Flair looks to land a combination but Pendragon avoids it well.
The fight stays on the outside here - Flair looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Flair will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Pendragon up against the cage.

Pendragon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Flair's waist but Flair gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pendragon off to one side.

Pendragon takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Flair feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Pendragon's calf.

Pendragon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Flair moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Pendragon crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Flair - the referee stops the clock and Pendragon gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Flair. Pendragon manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
