Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Silva's choice of entrance music: Audioslave - Like a Stone. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir misses with a body shot.

Mir slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Mir works to advance to full mount. Silva defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Mir could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Mir goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Silva turns into him and now he's in Mir's guard.

Silva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
