PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Pinkman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kobe James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pinkman comes into the arena with Regeneration Remix blaring out of the sound system. Kobe James has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pinkman throws a nice looking combination but James bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
James gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Pinkman counters with a takedown into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
James is looking for a sweep.
James is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Pinkman working away.
James is working to avoid the ground and pound but Pinkman connects with a decent elbow.
Pinkman slows the pace down.

Pinkman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pinkman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
James tries to get back to half guard but can't.

James looks gassed!
James has his takedown stuffed
and Pinkman counters with a two punch combo.

Pinkman drops James with a beautiful combination! James stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Pinkman is looking for the KO!

James is rocked!

It looks like Kobe James has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Pinkman looking to score a takedown here. James is defending well but Pinkman drives through and ends up in James's guard.
James is still in real trouble! Can Pinkman finish him?
Pinkman postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Pinkman is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Pinkman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jesse Pinkman.
James walks straight into a right hand from Pinkman - that's dropped him! Pinkman jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save James from any more punishment! James complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Jesse Pinkman decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
