Annunaki comes to the cage accompanied by Tool - Aenima. Bill Annunaki had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bill Annunaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ruffin Farley!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Annunaki darts in and clinches Farley up against the cage.

Annunaki manages to break the clinch.
Farley tries to move into range but Annunaki moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Farley drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Annunaki tries to control but Farley manages to take his back.
Annunaki holding both Farley 's hands and preventing any damage.

Farley is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Annunaki is defending well though. Farley let's go of the attempt for now.

Farley is persistently looking for the submission but Annunaki is defending it well.

Annunaki is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.

Annunaki closes the distance and clinches.

Farley tries to pull guard but Annunaki won't allow it.

Bill Annunaki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ruffin Farley.
Annunaki connects with a nasty looking knee right to Farley's face.
Annunaki gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Farley should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Annunaki breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Farley shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Farley was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Farley is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Annunaki is surviving well by controlling Farley's body position as best he can.
Annunaki tries to lock up and control but Farley gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Annunaki is squirming around, avoiding Farley's attempts to control the action.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Farley moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Annunaki has worked his arm free - good work by Annunaki!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Farley goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Annunaki rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Farley's guard! Nice work there by Annunaki!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Annunaki trying to stand up but can't free himself from Farley's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Annunaki has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Farley to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Annunaki is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Farley pulls down on the head and he's put Annunaki to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Ruffin Farley!
