Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tristan Saunders!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Barry Balls!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balls tries to close the distance and clinch up but Saunders swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Balls shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Saunders defends it nicely.
Balls fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Saunders avoids it really well and circles away.
Barry Balls seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Balls tries to keep at a distance but Saunders has taken the fight into the clinch.

Saunders breaks the clinch.
Balls shoots for a double leg takedown but Saunders sprawls well. He's pushed Balls's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Saunders has hold of Balls's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Balls manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Balls changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Saunders tries to avoid it but Balls manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Saunders to the ground. Saunders escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Balls looks for a takedown but Saunders sprawls well.
Balls closes this distance looking for a takedown but Saunders circles away.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tristan Saunders will probably get the nod.
