Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Brookins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sudipta Kar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kar has chosen Punjabi Mc as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brookins gets caught napping as Kar dives in and scores a takedown. Brookins manages to retain guard.
Kar connects with a couple of short punches.
Kar in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brookins controls Kar momentarily but Kar frees himself.
Kar throws a big right hand that misses.
Kar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kar lands a couple of decent looking shots.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kar missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Brookins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brookins swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Brookins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Kar distracts Brookins with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Kar content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Kar stands and throws Brookins's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Brookins dodges the ground and pound from Kar.
Brookins is breathing heavily.
Kar works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Kar creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Brookins sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Brookins takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Kar crunches a massive hammerfist down on Brookins - he's out! Kar Holds back on further strikes and jumps to his feet to celebrate with the crowd!
